Every year from September through July, Proteus Gowanus conducts an investigation employing art, artifacts, books and events to explore our yearlong theme. This year, our theme is BATTLE. We welcome you to follow our musings on the battle-inspired art, books, events, conversations and associations found here in our gallery throughout the year and to join in the conversation with your own thoughts or comments as we travel.
During the third and final exhibit of our yearlong exploration of "Battle," Battle Ground curator Sasha Chavchavadze and educator Angela Kramer will blog and invite guest bloggers to address themes that arise from the Revolutionary Battle of Brooklyn.
